We are actively seeking a Quality Engineer to become an integral part of our exceptional team. The primary responsibility of this role is to meticulously implement quality control requirements for the contract, ensuring that the specified quality standards are met. The role also involves maintaining comprehensive lifetime records to validate the conformity acceptance of the delivered product or service. Join us in upholding the highest standards of quality!
For this role, travel to all EDF sites should be anticipated as part of the role.
Key Duties
• Active promotion of Quality Management system awareness.
• Review and update site quality plan
• Produce and review Inspection and Test Plans and monitor compliance
• Production of Work Packs
• Weld Inspection (only if CSWIP) qualified
• Review of material certification (Code/Standard and Specification Requirement)
• Monitor and co-ordinate NDT
• Effective assistance in resolving quality problems; NCRs, TQs, Concessions, Material Traceability (MARs), relevant technical authorities.
• Support weld process controls 'WeldEye', TQS, weld card production, NDT requests and feedback, including weld inspection (training to be provided)
• QC completions
Who are you:
must possess a minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 in an engineering-related field, with a preference for holding CSWIP/PCN certification in Welding Inspection.
Crucially, strong communication skills are essential, and an ability to bring innovative ideas that challenge conventional thinking is highly valued.
